Chez Lucien is one of those places that just feels right. Tucked into the corner of Murray and Dalhousie in the ByWard Market, it's been a go-to for Ottawa locals for over 30 years. No flashy signs, no pretension. Just a solid burger, a cold pint, and good conversation.

The Burgers

Three burgers on the menu, and that's all you need:

• The Lucien Burger — Cheddar, bacon, and house-made red onion jam. The one everyone orders.
• Frida & Diego Burger — Jalapeños, sautéed onions, and Monterey Jack. A little heat, a lot of flavour.
• Veggie Option — Tofu burger for non-meat eaters.

All burgers come with fresh-cut fries.

What to Expect

The space is small, dimly lit, and full of character. There's live music on most nights, a solid craft beer list, and a patio in the warmer months. It's the kind of place where you walk in alone and leave having talked to half the bar.
