What to Do During a Power Outage

- 3.Turn off and unplug sensitive electronics to protect from power surges when electricity is restored.
- 4.Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed. Food stays safe for up to 4 hours in a closed fridge and 24-48 hours in a full freezer.
- 5.Stay away from downed power lines and report them to Hydro Ottawa immediately.
