About The King Eddy
The King Eddy opened on December 15, 2014, on Clarence Street in the heart of the ByWard Market. Run by the Thompson family — who also brought Ottawa the Empire Grill back in 1998 — it quickly became one of the city's most beloved comfort food spots. In 2022, they moved next door to 47 Clarence Street into a newly renovated space.
Named after a hangout from owner Gary Thompson's teenage years in Guelph, The King Eddy is all about value, quality, and authenticity. Their mandate is simple: "We Love All."
