Gezellig (a Dutch word meaning warm, cozy, convivial) occupies a beautifully converted 1950s bank building on Richmond Road in Westboro. The space is striking — high ceilings, original vault details, and natural light. The menu changes with the seasons, built around local ingredients.
It's one of the more refined brunch spots in Ottawa, but it never feels stuffy.
What to Order
- Brunch Benny — English muffin, dill crème fraîche, poached egg, hollandaise, home fries.
- Seasonal Specials — The menu changes regularly. Ask your server what's new.
- The Butterfinger — Their signature dessert. If it's on the menu, get it.
