About the Canada Aviation and Space Museum
The Canada Aviation and Space Museum is located on the grounds of the former Rockcliffe Airport in Ottawa's east end. Part of the Ingenium network of national science museums, it houses Canada's largest collection of aircraft — over 130 planes spanning the history of flight from the early 1900s through to modern jet fighters.
What to See
- Avro Arrow — The museum holds the largest surviving piece of Canada's legendary CF-105 Arrow interceptor (the nose section)
- Canadarm — The original robotic arm from Space Shuttle Endeavour, a landmark of Canadian space engineering
- Lancaster Bomber — A restored WWII-era heavy bomber
- Cold War jet fighters — Including CF-100 Canuck and CF-104 Starfighter
- "Canada in Space" — Exhibition on Canada's contributions to space exploration
- "Life in Orbit" — Interactive exhibit about life on the International Space Station
