Join us for special family-friendly activities at the museum! From daily artifact demonstrations with collectible trading cards to water rockets, space-inspired crafts, and learning how planes fly, there’s something for everyone. Come explore, discover, and have fun with us all summer long!

Marvels of the museum
Daily at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Drop in to see which iconic artifact is being showcased in a special demonstration led by a knowledgeable museum guide. Discover amazing stories and fun facts about these remarkable pieces of history in an engaging demo that’s perfect for the whole family.
Bonus: after each demo, receive a collectible trading card about that artifact!

Blast off with water rockets!
Location: Outside, Reserve Hangar tent (guide greets visitors in lobby) Time: Weekends, 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Get ready for lift-off! Learn the science behind rockets, then launch a water-powered rocket high into the sky using air pressure and water. It’s hands-on, high-flying fun for future engineers and space explorers.
This activity is weather dependent.
How do planes fly
Location: Cessna Demonstration Area Time(s): Weekdays: 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Weekends: 12:30 p.m.
Discover how airplanes take to the skies by exploring the four forces of flight—lift, weight, drag, and thrust—and the important role each part of a plane plays in getting airborne. Then, step into the cockpit of a real Cessna for a hands-on aviation experience!
Lunar flyby craft
Location: Demonstration Area Time: Ongoing
Create a moving space scene inspired by the Artemis II mission around the Moon! Participants will bring an Orion spacecraft to life as it slides past the Moon in this simple, hands-on craft.
Exclusive member tours: The Canadair North Star
Location: Taxiway Time: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. (July 22 to August 27)
Step aboard the historic Canadair North Star this summer for a rare members-only guided tour inside the aircraft, including a close look at ongoing restoration work and the fully-restored cockpit.
*For Ingenium members only. Limited to 8 people per tour.
Reflection station with Canadian Legion
Location: Demonstration Area Time: Ongoing
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion. Throughout July, visitors are invited to take part in a national remembrance project by writing a message on a Post-it note. These notes will be used to create a mosaic portrait of a Canadian soldier, to be unveiled at Toronto’s Union Station this November.

Canada's largest aviation collection with over 130 aircraft, the original Canadarm from Space Shuttle Endeavour, and the largest surviving piece of the Avro Arrow. Free admission daily from 4-5 PM.
