About the Canada Science and Technology Museum
The Canada Science and Technology Museum is one of three national museums operated by Ingenium in Ottawa (alongside the Aviation and Space Museum and the Agriculture and Food Museum). Located on St. Laurent Boulevard in the city's east end, the museum underwent a major renovation in 2017 and reopened with modernized interactive galleries.
It's a strong choice for families with kids — the exhibits are designed to be touched, tested, and experimented with.
What to See
- Zoom — A children's innovation zone where kids can build, experiment, and solve challenges through hands-on play
- Artifact Alley — A walk-through display of significant Canadian innovations and technologies
- Transportation exhibits — Vintage locomotives, automobiles, and vehicles that shaped Canadian industry
- Hands-on demonstrations — Staff-led experiments and demonstrations throughout the day
- Crazy Kitchen — A tilted room that plays tricks on your sense of balance (a long-time visitor favourite)
