Tips
- Best free festivals: Dragon Boat Festival, Buskerfest, Greek Fest, and Capital Ribfest (free admission) offer full days of entertainment at no cost
- Best value: Ottawa Fringe — every show is $14, and you can see five or six in a day
- Book early for Bluesfest: Presale passes sell out, and single-day tickets for headline acts go fast. Prices increase closer to the event
- Getting to LeBreton Flats: The site is a short walk from Pimisi Station (O-Train Line 1). Bluesfest tickets include OC Transpo transit
- Rain plan: Most festivals are rain-or-shine outdoor events. Bluesfest and CityFolk continue through rain. Bring layers for evening shows — temperatures drop after sunset even in July
- Parking: For Lansdowne events (CityFolk), use paid parking at Lansdowne or nearby streets. For LeBreton Flats (Bluesfest), transit is strongly recommended — parking is very limited
- Family-friendly: Dragon Boat (beach + playground), Buskerfest (street performances), and Canada Day are the best bets for kids
