About Lansdowne
Lansdowne is a mixed-use urban park and entertainment district on Bank Street in The Glebe, overlooking the Rideau Canal. The site combines public green spaces, the historic Aberdeen Pavilion, TD Place stadium and arena, and a collection of shops and restaurants.
It's a neighbourhood destination for weekend farmers' market visits, game days, and casual meals with Rideau Canal views.
What to See and Do
Aberdeen Pavilion
A National Historic Site built in 1898 — one of the last remaining examples of a Victorian-era exhibition hall in Canada. The Cattle Castle (as it's nicknamed) hosts markets, exhibitions, and public events throughout the year. Its arched steel and glass structure is worth seeing on its own.
Ottawa Farmers' Market
The Ottawa Farmers' Market operates at Lansdowne year-round:
- Outdoors (May–October) — Sunday mornings, with local produce, baked goods, prepared foods, and artisan products
- Indoors at Aberdeen Pavilion (November–April) — Saturday mornings
TD Place
Home to Ottawa's professional and semi-professional sports teams:
- Ottawa Redblacks (CFL football)
- Atlético Ottawa (Canadian Premier League soccer)
- Ottawa 67's (OHL hockey)
- Ottawa Rapid FC (Northern Super League women's soccer)
The stadium and arena also host concerts and other events year-round.
Shops and Restaurants
Lansdowne's retail section includes restaurants, cafés, and shops along the ground level. Several have patios with views toward the canal.

- By Car: Paid underground parking at Lansdowne. Street parking on surrounding streets (limited on game days)
