About Upper Canada Village
Upper Canada Village is one of the largest living-history museums in Canada, located in Morrisburg along the St. Lawrence River. Founded in 1961, the village recreates daily life in a rural English-Canadian community during 1866. The site was established to preserve historic buildings that were relocated when the St. Lawrence Seaway project flooded several communities in the area.
The village spans over 40 heritage buildings staffed by costumed interpreters who bring the 1860s to life through demonstrations, conversations, and hands-on activities.
