About

Funhaven is Ottawa's premier indoor amusement centre, opened in 2012 by a local Ottawa family. Located at 1050 Baxter Road in Nepean, the 40,000+ square foot facility brings together rides, games, escape rooms, VR experiences, and dining under one roof.

The centre operates on a credit-based system with no admission fee -- you only pay for the activities you want to play. This makes it easy to tailor your visit to your budget and interests, whether you're dropping in for a few arcade games or spending an entire afternoon on the rides.

Funhaven is about 15 minutes from Parliament Hill, just off Highway 417 (Queensway).

Rides & Thrills

• Crazy 8 -- Ottawa's ONLY indoor roller coaster. A thrilling ride through twists and turns inside the facility
• Spin Zone Bumper Cars -- classic bumper car fun for all ages
• Laser Frenzy -- race against the clock to cross a room filled with laser beams without touching them

Laser Tag

A multi-level, world-class laser tag arena with themed environments. Each game lasts approximately 12 minutes. One of the most popular attractions at Funhaven.

Escape Rooms (Funhaven Escapes)

Work with your team to solve puzzles, crack codes, and find clues to escape before time runs out. Escape rooms are $30 per person and must be booked separately from the credit system.

VR Games & Rides

Funhaven features several virtual reality attractions including Virtual Rabbids, Hyperdeck, Hurricane 360, and other immersive VR experiences.

Arcade & Games

Over 100 video games, simulators, and prize games -- from classic skeeball to modern interactive games of chance. Arcade games range from 4 to 35 credits per play.

Active Play

• 20-foot Climbing Wall -- test your strength and agility
• Jungle Gym -- multi-level play structure with built-in Ballocity air cannons
• Mini Bowling -- 4 lanes of 5-pin mini bowling

Comfyland (Toddler Area)

A dedicated play area designed specifically for toddlers aged 12 months to 5 years. The space is divided into three sections:

• Senses Corner -- touch and feel activities, visual stimulation
• Music Corner -- musical instruments and sound exploration
• Cognitive Corner -- puzzles, toy kitchen, mini play structure with slides, and computer games

Dining

Funhaven is a fully licensed establishment with a full-service restaurant. Known for their fresh-baked pizza, the kitchen also offers other comfort food options suitable for families.

The self-serve frozen yogurt sundae bar features 10 flavours of frozen yogurt with more than 50 toppings.

Pricing

Funhaven uses a credit system -- there is no admission fee. You purchase credits and spend them on activities:

• Credit packages range from $15 (40 credits)** up to **$300 (1,670 credits)
• Major rides (laser tag, bumper cars, jungle gym, roller coaster) cost approximately 35 credits each
• Arcade games vary from 4 to 35 credits
• Unlimited arcade play is available for $25 per person (up to 5 hours)
• Escape rooms are priced separately at $30 per person

Birthday Parties & Events

Funhaven offers birthday party packages with rides, games, food, and 7 private party rooms. They also have a full-featured event centre for corporate events and group outings. Contact Funhaven directly for party bookings.

Parking

Free parking is available on-site at the Baxter Road location.

Tips for Families

• Toddlers (1--5 years): Head straight to Comfyland for age-appropriate play. It's a separate area away from the bigger rides
• Buy larger credit packages for better value -- unused credits stay on your card for future visits
• Weekday afternoons tend to be less crowded than weekends
• The unlimited arcade deal ($25/person) is great value if your kids love arcade games
• Bring socks -- required for the jungle gym and some play areas
• Escape rooms require advance booking -- reserve online at funhaven.com
• The facility can get loud, especially on weekends -- keep this in mind for younger or noise-sensitive children

Getting There

By car: From downtown Ottawa, take Highway 417 (Queensway) west to the Woodroffe Avenue exit. Head south on Woodroffe and turn right onto Baxter Road. Funhaven is on the right side. About 15 minutes from Parliament Hill.

By transit: OC Transpo serves the Baxter Road area. Check octranspo.com for current routes and schedules to the Algonquin College / Baseline area.
