Cineplex Cinemas Lansdowne & VIP is a 10-screen theatre located within the Lansdowne development in The Glebe. The theatre features a mix of five traditional auditoriums, four licensed VIP screens for guests aged 19 and over, and one UltraAVX auditorium. It is Ottawa's go-to destination for a premium, adults-only cinema experience.
VIP Experience
The VIP auditoriums offer an elevated moviegoing experience with in-seat food and drink service. Guests can order from a menu of contemporary Canadian fare — including burgers, poutine, and snack platters — along with cocktails, beer, and wine. A dedicated VIP lounge is available for pre-show drinks. All VIP screenings are restricted to ages 19 and over due to alcohol service.
Premium Formats
Beyond VIP, the theatre offers UltraAVX with Dolby Atmos sound for an immersive audio-visual experience, and D-BOX motion seats that move in sync with on-screen action. Standard auditoriums are also available for regular screenings.
Getting There
Lansdowne is located on Bank Street in The Glebe, a short distance south of downtown Ottawa. The venue has underground paid parking, and is accessible by OC Transpo bus routes 6, 7, and 450-series. Bank Street offers plenty of dining and shopping options before or after a show.
