About the Rideau Canal Skateway
The Rideau Canal Skateway is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's largest naturally frozen skating rink at 7.8 km long. The NCC manages ice preparation and maintenance during the winter season, typically from January to early March depending on weather conditions.
