Step into a magical winter wonderland in The Snow Queen, a heartwarming family adventure adapted by Stacey Lane from the beloved fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. When the mischievous Snow Flurries create a magical mirror that reflects the worst in people, the Snow Queen shatters it, sending shards across the world. After one lands in young Kay’s eye, his heart grows cold and cruel, and the Snow Queen carries him away to her glittering Ice Castle. Kay’s cousin and best friend, Gerda, refuses to give up on him. Armed with a jar of warm wishes and a handful of giggle-inducing snickerdoodles, she sets out on a magical journey. Along the way she meets talking flowers, a clever fox, a know-it-all crow, a generous princess, and even a band of rowdy robbers. Produced by Storytime Theatre Company and performed entirely by youth actors, The Snow Queen is a joyful, heartwarming adventure created especially for families.
