Part of Ottawa Riverkeeper's Current Conversations summer speaker series, Words on Water brings together 10 incredible local poets, including Ottawa's own poet laureates, to share their art about the Ottawa River and what it means to them, in both French and English.

The series doubles as an educational evening and a fundraiser supporting Ottawa Riverkeeper's work to protect the Ottawa River watershed.

  • When: Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 6:00–8:00 pm
  • Where: NCC River House, 501 Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway
  • Tickets: $20 regular; $15 for seniors (65+), youth (15–30), and those on low income; free for children under 15. Get tickets on Eventbrite.
