
Inscrivez-vous ici ! Se promener dans la partie ouest du Cimetière Beechwood, c’est comme se promener dans l’histoire des débuts du Canada. Les participants à la visite entendront des noms de rues familiers d’Ottawa et apprendront comment ces familles éminentes ont construit Ottawa. Ils visiteront les sections les plus anciennes de la propriété, les magnifiques jardins, le mausolée et auront l’occasion d’apprendre comment le cimetière communautaire local est devenu le cimetière national du Canada. La visite guidée du cimetière de Beechwood est animée par des bénévoles formés et met l’accent sur l’histoire locale ainsi que sur les éléments et les sections remarquables de ce lieu historique national. La visite est gratuite et adaptée aux familles. Le parcours de la promenade est d’une durée d’une heure et demie à deux heures et est accessible aux fauteuils roulants. Veuillez porter de bonnes chaussures de marche, des vêtements adaptés à la météo, de l’insecticide et de l’eau si nécessaire. Pour la visite de l’Ouest, votre guide vous accueillera au belvédère situé à côté du Centre commémoratif national Beechwood (l’entrée de la rue la plus proche est l’avenue Beechwood). Veuillez noter que le Centre commémoratif national Beechwood est fermé au public le dimanche. Veuillez donc utiliser les toilettes avant votre arrivée. N’oubliez pas de revenir pour la visite guidée de la partie est du cimetière de Beechwood !
