Come meet 1 on 1 with Social Prescriber Maddie from the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC). A social prescriber connects individuals with non-clinical community services — such as art classes, gardening, volunteering, or support groups — to address the social determinants of health. They empower individuals to improve their mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing by providing personalized, community-based support that complements traditional medical care.Social Prescribers can support community members who are experiencing: - loneliness and disconnection - mental health challenges - financial challenges - food security or housing problems - And much more! (Such as filling out forms and referrals to other services etc...) Drop-in 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Thursdays at Fitzroy Harbour branch or book an appointment with Maddie by email or [email protected] (613) 591-3686 x244
