Tips

- Best corn mazes: Ouimet Farms (7 acres, three difficulty levels) and Maple Hill Urban Farm (Ottawa's longest-running)
- Best for young kids: The Log Farm (designed for under-10s) and Proulx Farm (wide variety of activities included in admission)
- Best for teens/adults at night: Saunders Farm FrightFest (from 35) — both use professional actors
- Closest to downtown: Maple Hill Urban Farm (16 minutes on Moodie Drive)
- Timing: Most farms are busiest on Thanksgiving weekend. Visit early in the season (late September) for shorter lines and the best pumpkin selection
- Footwear: Wear boots or shoes you don't mind getting muddy. Farm fields are uneven and can be wet after rain
- Cash vs. card: Saunders Farm is cashless. Maple Hill is cash/e-transfer only. Most others accept both — check before you go
