About
The Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre (CDCC) occupies an 1912 Romanesque Byzantine heritage building in Centretown — originally built as a church. Carleton University purchased the building in 2018 and now runs it as a downtown satellite for the university's music program, while the Dominion-Chalmers United Church congregation continues to use the space for services.
The main sanctuary seats about 800 and is renowned for its acoustics — it's one of Ottawa's most respected classical and chamber-music rooms. Chamberfest and other serious music programming regularly use the space.
