About Ādisōke
Ādisōke (pronounced ah-DEE-soh-keh) will be Ottawa's new central library, a joint facility shared between Ottawa Public Library and Library and Archives Canada. The name was chosen by the Host Nation and means "to tell a story" in Anishinaabemowin.
Opening Status
The facility is currently under construction with an expected opening in late 2026. Check the official website for updates.

- Architecture: Designed by Diamond Schmitt Architects and KWC Architects featuring Indigenous design elements
- Location: Connected to Pimisi LRT station at LeBreton Flats
- Collections: Extensive book, media, and digital collections from both OPL and Library and Archives Canada
- Programs: Programming for all ages including storytimes, workshops, and events
- Technology: Maker spaces, recording studios, and digital creation tools
