2026 Ottawa Bluesfest — Thursday, July 9

Thursday, July 9, 2026 Lineup

Daily lineup at LeBreton Flats. Headliner: Cody Johnson on RBC Stage.

RBC Stage

6:00 pm — Jade Hilton

Fast-rising country singer-songwriter Jade Hilton is making waves with her new single “Dive Bar.” Fresh off standout performances at Boots and Hearts, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, the CCMAs in Kelowna, Folk Canada in Ottawa, Departure Festival, NXNE and CMAOntario Week, Jade has earned national media support from SiriusXM Top of the Country, Global TV and CTV’s Etalk. Last year alone, she performed on over 100 stages across Canada and was named Songwriter of the Year in Mississauga.

7:20 pm — Jessie Murph

In 2024, Jessie Murph released her debut album That Ain’t No Man That’s the Devil—a certified Gold project that chased her 2023 mixtape Drowning—and ignited what quickly became Jessie’s signature sound. With raw and honest lyrics, mixed with a voice that lives where soul and grit collide, Jessie turned personal tragedy into a genre-blending triumph.

The momentum was massive: That Ain’t No Man That’s the Devil cracked the Top 25 on the Billboard 200, while the Platinum “Wild Ones” racked up nearly 300M Spotify streams alone, scoring her two 2024 MTV VMA nods including Best Pop Collaboration and Best PUSH Artist. Other standouts like “Someone In This Room” with Bailey Zimmerman and “High Road” ft. Koe Wetzel marked their strongest chart debuts to date—landing at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hitting #1 at Billboard Country Radio, respectively. But Jessie Murph doesn’t sit still. She headlined a sold-out global tour, packing over 85,000 tickets, including Coachella, Governors Ball, Boston Calling, BottleRock, and a proud return to Hangout Fest. Her In The Sticks North American tour closed with a hometown arena blowout—10,000 fans deep at Huntsville’s Von Braun Center. In July of 2025, she kicked off her largest tour to date, the WORLDWIDE HYSTERIA tour, currently on the North American trek the tour will also hit Europe, and Australia before concluding in New Zealand in November.

Her sophomore album Sex Hysteria, which debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 chart, is her vice-laden manifesto where Jessie trades sorrow for sensation. It’s dopamine in album form—part ‘60s Pop, part early-2000s Trap, yet entirely Jessie. The album debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200 Chart, marking her first top 10 album on the chart. The record’s early breakout “Blue Strips” featuring Sexyy Red skyrocketed her to her highest Billboard Hot 100 peak yet at #15, while “Gucci Mane” (the song) became an underground fan anthem. “Touch Me Like A Gangster” debuted at #56 on the Billboard Hot 100, which saw Jessie chart 2 songs in the top half of the Hot 100 simultaneously. The album also sees real-life Gucci Mane tap in for the bouncy “Donuts,” while Lil Baby’s moody turn on “Best Behavior” is a smooth addition. She also celebrates a nomination for New Female Artist of the Year at the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards and Favorite Country Song at the 2025 American Music Awards.

Sex Hysteria isn’t about what happened to Jessie. It’s about what Jessie’s about to do. From viral TikToks to sold-out tours to genre-defying records, Jessie Murph has made a name for herself without ever chasing fame. What she’s chasing is freedom—and she’s finally caught it.

6:15 pm — Jermaine Holmes

Jermaine Holmes is a Grammy Award-winning vocalist whose soulful voice has captivated audiences worldwide. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Jermaine’s musical journey began in the church, where he learned that what the choir was doing was “just as important as the preacher” – a philosophy that continues to guide his approach to music as a ministry in itself. Past collaborators include D'angelo, Pete Rock and Daniel Lanois.

7:45 pm — Digable Planets

Digable Planets burst onto the music scene in 1993 with their Grammy-winning single, “Rebirth Of Slick (Cool Like Dat).” Made up of Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Craig “Doodlebug” Irving, and Mary Ann “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira, the pioneering trio carved out a uniquely appealing style of jazz-informed hip hop that catapulted their first single to the 15th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  Shortly after, Digable Planets followed up with their debut album, Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time And Space), an ambitious offering that Pitchfork praised as “a world within a world, complete with its own language and monuments.” Melding jazz samples, and complex rhymes that touched on everything from the nuances of city life ("Where I’m From") to abortion rights ("La Femme Fetal"), Reachin’ was a rich and vibrant artistic statement as well as a huge commercial success (RIAA certified gold). The group celebrated the 30th anniversary of Reachin’ in 2023.

Digable Planets quickly followed up in 1994 with Blowout Comb, a bold and colorful meditation on Black liberation. While the album did not initially attain the immediate commercial successes of Reachin’, the 13-track sophomore opus has gone on to age beautifully, influencing future generations of hip hop heads, young jazz musicians, and Afrofuturists. In celebration of the three decades passed since the release of the landmark second album, Digable Planets, once again, takes their full five-piece band on the road for the Blowout Comb 30th Anniversary Tour, now touching North American cities from coast to coast. "Together, we're able to take all of the music, which is, you know, a bunch of disparate samples from here and there, and really represent that era of music in an updated way with one foot in the past, but another foot firmly with a sneaker on sprinting into the future with a lot of new sounds and a lot of new concepts," said Digable Planets founder Butterfly.
