ARTIST BIO
Renowned as one of the most famous drag performers in herstory, Alyssa Edwards is an American entertainer, choreographer, and globally recognized television personality.
Before her television debut, Alyssa was a talented dance instructor and one of the most decorated performers in the drag pageantry circuit. Her rise to international fame began in 2012 when she was cast in the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, where her candid testimonials, iconic tongue-pops, and quirky personality made her an instant fan favorite. She returned in 2016 for RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars Season 2, finishing as fourth runner-up and once again capturing hearts worldwide.
Alyssa made a memorable comeback to the screen in 2018 as the star of Netflix’s original docuseries Dancing Queen, produced by RuPaul and World of Wonder. The series followed her award-winning dance studio, Beyond Belief Dance Company, highlighting her passion and skill in training the next generation of competitive dancers.
Hailed as the “sickening queen supreme” by The Times, Alyssa amazed audiences in 2021 with her critically acclaimed debut at London’s historic West End, followed by a 56-city sold-out tour across the U.S. and Canada titled Alyssa: Life, Love & Lashes.
Alyssa’s influence extends into mainstream media and pop culture, with high-profile appearances on NBC’s America’s Got Talent, where her students from Beyond Belief competed, showcasing her impact as a mentor. She has also shared the stage with music icons, performing with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs and appearing alongside Madonna on her Celebration Tour.
As a sought-after brand ambassador, Alyssa has partnered with major brands like TAZO Tea, Pepsi, Absolut, Smirnoff, and more, infusing her vibrant personality into each campaign. She also made waves in the beauty industry through a collaboration with Anastasia Beverly Hills, where her signature eye shadow palette brought her iconic style to fans and makeup enthusiasts worldwide.
In 2024, Alyssa reached a new pinnacle by winning RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All-Stars, earning the title of the first-ever “Queen of the Mothertucking World.” This historic victory cements her as a global icon of drag excellence.
