Creative Writing Program for Teens

Creative Writing Program for Teens

Participants (ages 13-17) meet on the second Monday of the month for a series of lectures, activities, and writing exercises. This program is hosted by the Stittsville Creative Writing Group and led by an adult group member. It is an extension of the group with the goals of fostering creativity and literacy in the next generation, inspiring future writers, and preserving the art of the written word. Deliverables undertaken by this program include: · Discussion on writing theory · Practical lessons on writing · In-session and independent writing exercises · An interactive and supportive environment · Appraisal and workshopping of ideas, and · Guidance on creative writing and practical advice about publishing.
